Green District, Skyline Chili and other local restaurants just received national recognition.
USA TODAY recently released it Best Cheap Places to Eat in the U.S. guide, which includes a list of the Top 100 Budget Restaurants in the U.S. and a ranking of every fast food chain in the country. Green District salads, located at 33 E. Sixth St. in downtown Cincinnati, ranked No. 89 among top budget restaurants. Skyline Chili ranked as the seventh-best fast food chain in the U.S.
Two Columbus eateries, Zatoon Mediterranean Grill (No. 31) and Rodos Greek Taverna (No. 71), and Savor the Moment (No. 83) in Cleveland were also among the best budget eats. Mickey’s Subs in Tampa, Florida, ranked No. 1 overall.
Several Columbus-based restaurants were also among the top 50 best fast food chains in the U.S., including Condado Tacos (No. 4.), Raising Cane’s (No. 12) and Piada Italian Street Food (No. 33).
Oakley’s Condado Tacos at 3329 Vandercar Way ranked among the top 25 fast food locations in America, taking the No. 13 spot.
To determine its findings, USA TODAY analyzed Google ratings for 28,000 budget-friendly restaurants across 50 U.S. cities. All businesses featured, which include everything from major fast food chains to mom-and-pop shops, are considered “one dollar sign” restaurants on Google’s cost scale and have 200 or more reviews.
